Jason advises on all aspects of insolvency.

On the contentious side, he regularly advises liquidators in relation to fraud and asset tracing investigations involving UK and oversees companies and assets, obtaining freezing injunctions and provisional liquidation appointments and bringing office-holder claims for antecedent transactions.

On the non-contentious side, he regularly advises administrators on the sale of assets, and ROT claims.

He also advises creditors, and in particular suppliers in respect of ROT claims in retail administrations, as well as debtors.

Jason is admitted to practise in England and Wales.


  • Acting for a US client who was the subject of a substantial UK based postal fraud. Jason assisted the client in placing two companies into provisional, and then compulsory, liquidation; he also worked alongside the local police force investigating the matter and timed the provisional liquidation applications to coincide with the police arrests
  • Advising the liquidator of a hospitality company in relation to the recovery of monies siphoned by the director to a BVI company and used to purchase property in Barbados; Jason assisted the liquidator in locating the director in Barbados and subsequently obtaining a worldwide freezing injunction against the director and the BVI company and seeking recognition of the same in Barbados
  • Advising the joint administrators of one of the UK's largest providers of photographic services on the sale of the company's debtor book, as well as advising on a strategy to deal with hundreds of employee claims
