Hannah advises a broad range of UK and international individuals and trustees on UK tax, trust and estate and succession planning matters. She has experience of drafting Wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as advising on the related tax and other issues and planning opportunities.
Hannah has particular experience in devising lifetime giving strategies taking full advantage of tax efficient methods of giving, with the aim of reducing inheritance tax exposure, whilst also seeking to protect assets from non-tax threats.
Hannah spent six months at the firm’s Zurich office, advising non-UK resident and/or domiciled clients on matters with an international element. In particular, she has experience in regularising clients’ undeclared offshore assets on favourable terms with HM Revenue & Customs through the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility.
She has also spent time working in-house at a leading wealth management company, liaising with advisors to identify tax planning opportunities available to their clients, as well as assisting them with any other tax and estate planning matters which arose.
This included all aspects of private client law, but particularly involved the issues and opportunities for non-UK domiciled clients and for business owners.
Hannah is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
