Robert advises on a wide range of taxation issues for clients ranging from FTSE 250 public companies to start-ups, operating in the UK and internationally, as well as wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs.
Robert has particular experience in relation to corporate tax, including company acquisitions and disposals, reconstructions, private equity and venture capital investment (especially EIS and SEIS), limited liability partnership (LLP) tax, property tax and employee incentives, including EMI, approved and unapproved schemes.
Robert is admitted to practise in England and Wales.

- Acting for management shareholders on the tax aspects of the sale of a majority interest in Longview Partners, the specialist asset management firm, to Northill Capital; Longview was founded in 2011 and manages $19.5 billion on behalf of predominantly institutional investors
- Advising on and implementing the restructuring of a technology company to secure EIS investment and putting in place an EMI scheme for its senior employees
- Advising on the corporate restructuring of a UK property group
