Paul specialises in corporate finance and transactional work, predominantly for public companies. His particular interests include public company IPOs, secondary issues and boardroom and shareholder disputes. He has a particular focus on the natural resource and technology sectors.
Paul acts on capital market transactions for issuers and advisers on both the Main Market and AIM. Paul also acts on public company takeovers (both for bidders and target companies) and advises overseas issuers and their financial advisers on regulatory aspects of marketing securities issues into the UK. Paul has experience in working on debt and other non-equity capital issues on the UK markets.
He also advises private companies on a range of matters including section 110 reorganisations, disposals, acquisitions and shareholder/board disputes.
Paul is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
- Acting for Marimedia Limited, the Israeli technology company on its admission to AIM with a £100 million market capitalisation in May 2014
- Advising Walker Crips Group plc on the disposal of its asset management business to Liontrust plc, which was a Class 1 and Related Party transaction under the Listing Rules
- Advising a global consultancy firm on a multi-million pound return of capital to shareholders by way of a court sanctioned Scheme of Arrangement involving a complex pre-Scheme share reorganisation
- Acting for Avation plc on its introduction to the Main Market of Avation plc by way of a standard listing and acting on various secondary issues (including rights issues) for Avation since its listing
