Charles Russell Speechlys advises on the acquisitions by the Paperhat Group of a majority stake in each of CTI Digital and Despark

16 February 2015

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the Paperhat Group, a leading print management, creative services and cross-media marketing group, on its acquisitions of a majority stake in each of CTI Digital and Despark.

CTI Digital is a leading full service digital agency. It provides bespoke web solutions using open source technologies such as Drupal Magento, Grails and the Zend Framework.

Despark is a boutique digital web, mobile and tablet designer. It specialises in developing websites, mobile/tablet apps and web-based applications and provides both design services and web application development.

Paperhat Group has expanded its services to include cross-media marketing consultancy; ROMI auditing through-the-line creative services; creative production services and print-production spend management and in addition to CTI Digital and Despark, Paperhat Group recently acquired a majority interest in Grebot Donnelly Associates, a leading communications specialist for the education sector.

Tim Peppiatt, Paperhat Group CEO said:

“This is the third deal we’ve concluded using Charles Russell Speechlys and their work has been exemplary; they are viewed by myself and colleagues as an extension of our own team, not an outside provider. We will almost certainly be working with them again in coming year”.

The Charles Russell Speechlys core team was led by Corporate Associate Charlie Ring and included Partner Malcolm MacDougall and Trainee Solicitor Genevieve Morrall.

Charlie Ring commented:

“We are delighted to have completed another couple of deals for the Paperhat Group. We look forward to continuing to work with the Paperhat Group as it pursues its plans for expansion going forward.”
