Speechly Bircham to sponsor Hampstead and Highgate Literary Festival

2 September 2014

This article was written prior to the formation of Charles Russell Speechlys, through the merger between Charles Russell and Speechly Bircham.

Speechly Bircham is delighted to be one of the sponsors for the second year running at the Hampstead and Highgate Literary Festival which takes place 14 - 16 September.

We will be sponsoring a talk on the evening of 15 September given by Saul David , the best-selling author and TV historian, who will be discussing his latest book, "100 Days To Victory."

The book is the first to tell the story of the Great War through the events of one hundred key days between 1914 and 1918. Saul David will be interviewed by Paul Lay, Editor of History Today, about the implications of the conflict, touching upon events and lives beyond the battlefield which shaped the outcome of the "war to end all wars."

The festival will host over 90 authors during the three days and also include talks from Charles Spencer, Lynne Reid Banks, Jane Costello, Hugh Pym, Linda Grant, Monique Roffey, Tom Wilkinson, and Claudia Roden among others.
