A new Banking & Finance Consultant for Speechly Bircham Paris
3 June 2014
This article was written prior to the formation of Charles Russell Speechlys, through the merger between Charles Russell and Speechly Bircham.
Following the successful launch of the Parisian office in November 2013, Speechly Bircham is pleased to announce that Caroline Porcher Marquis joins the team this month as a Senior Adviser.
Specialising in Banking & Finance law, Caroline supports clients on project finance (especially in the scope of green energy and real estate assets), and corporate finance (acquisitions, LBO, refinancing, intra-group arrangements and derivatives).
Caroline's arrival observes a strategic bridge to an offering that is already firmly focused on serving private equity investors and corporates, as well as tax planning, corporate and litigation services for wealthy families and entrepreneurs.
Her focus also complements the firm's existing banking & finance offering in the UK and Luxembourg, with whom she will link forces to advise on cross-border matters.
Having worked previously in London, New York and Milan, Caroline's strength lies in international transactions. This is further enhanced by her background in cross-border lease financing in various jurisdictions.
Upon joining Speechly Bircham Paris, Caroline said, "I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to work alongside the new Speechlys team. I also look forward to a strong alliance with the banking & finance teams across the firm."
Commenting on Caroline's arrival, Frédéric Jeannin says "The priority for Speechly Bircham Paris in its first year is to develop a strong profile in the French market. We are delighted that results so far have been very encouraging. Having Caroline on-board will enable us to offer a more enhanced/bespoke service to our French-based clients, as well as reinforce the ties we have across the firm".
