South East Independent Schools: future challenges and opportunities

Charles Russell Speechlys recently conducted qualitative research amongst Bursars and Directors of Finance, primarily to understand the near and medium term priorities for independent schools in the South East of England.

The main themes explored were:

  • Key external factors affecting the school
  • Main priorities over the next five years
  • Plans for the operational footprint of the school, including property and land investments
  • Advantages and disadvantages of charitable status
  • The value of external advisers
