Advising the developer, P&O Estates on region quarter of 240,000 square foot mixed-use development at the heart of Kings Cross. The scheme involved the regeneration of a whole urban block adjacent to Kings Cross station including new build and refurbishment. We advised on both the construction and property aspects of Block B, including complex title issues, CPOs, the property holding structures and the letting schemes and the advancing of leases.
Advising Derwent London on the property and construction aspects of the award winning Portobello Dock Development. This includes the structuring of the residential and office lettings, and thereafter the completed sale of the two residential blocks, each by way of a long lease.
Advising on a range of forward funding transactions for investment and pension funds including retail parks, hotels, retail shops and trade centres incorporating the property, development and construction aspects.
Advising on a residential development of 2,650 units, leisure facilities, medical centres, schools and a country park with provision for the transfer of a further 100 acres to the Highways Authority for the construction of a bypass.
The transaction included the drafting of a complex Development Agreement and leasehold structure together with complex title issues and right of light issues with adjoining land owners.
Advising a Trust on the sale of its site in London for residential and office developments and the redevelopment and refurbishment of its community facilities including a complex Section 106 Agreement.
Acting for the Design Museum in relation to its relocation to the Grade II listed Commonwealth Institute on Kensington High Street. Built in 1962 and now vacant, the Commonwealth Institute is a pioneering post-war building whose hyperbolic paraboloid roof was the first such structure in the UK. We have advised the Design Museum on its Agreement for Lease with Chelsfield, construction, planning and fit out.
Advising Derwent London on the development of the last major site within Paddington Basin. The project involved the construction of a 16-story office complex and a 100-unit residential building. Innovative and sustainable, the new additions will exceed building regulations and reduce carbon emissions through the implementation of innovative, energy efficient solutions.
