Financial Arrangements

Entering into a marriage or civil partnership brings with it significant financial consequences.

Should the relationship break down, one of the most important things to resolve will be the financial arrangements consequent upon the separation. The straightforward case will simply require an agreement and order setting out how the assets are to be dealt with and what maintenance will be required for the former spouse and/or children. More complex cases may involve tax considerations, enforcement concerns, disclosure worries, inherited assets, family businesses, trusts and pensions. A freezing order or other emergency remedy may be required. We can help with the whole spectrum of these cases and some further background information on some of these issues is set out under the links below.
