Communications is a fast moving sector. Technologies and legal challenges are constantly evolving. Getting the right legal team on board will help maximise the potential success and development of your business.

So it is essential you work with progressive lawyers who are not only experts in communications law and policy, but who also have a sound commercial understanding of the industry and its regulations.

The Communications team at Charles Russell Speechlys offers just that. We are ranked as a leading firm in the TMT sector, and our core experts are all recognised as leading individuals in the latest legal directories, such as Chambers, Legal 500 and International Who’s Who.

Our highly-qualified, industry recognised communications lawyers have relevant first–hand sector expertise gained through long-standing experience of advising on market-leading issues and transactions for key TMT participants around the world, which means we get the big picture: technically, commercially, and strategically.

We are passionate about delivering clear, commercial, solutions-driven advice as an integrated member of your team. We work with clients right across the sector worldwide, ranging from fixed and mobile multinational operators to start-up mobile service and content and technology providers. We also advise governments and national regulatory authorities, equipment providers, suppliers and users, as well as investors and financial institutions.

Equally, we are used to dealing with arrangements involving a wide range of technologies, systems and platforms, be it fixed, mobile, wireless, or satellite, as well as converged platforms.
Our international multi-disciplinary team has the necessary breadth and depth of expertise to support effectively on legal challenges impacting your business.

We also have particular expertise in the “emerging markets” of the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

We will invest time in understanding your business challenges. Bringing the benefit of our prominent thought leadership and established industry relationships, we can work with you to assess and navigate risks, and exploit commercial opportunities that may impact your business, including as a result of current market trends such as those outlined below:
